Copper Creek 2-Bedroom Villa Review: Is It Right for Your Disney World Group?

What happens when eight travel advisors share a Disney villa for the night?

You find out really quickly whether the room truly works for eight people, eight suitcases, eight sets of getting-ready supplies and, in our case – plenty of clothes!

Before our Simply Magical Travels agency trip officially began, several of us arrived early and shared a dedicated 2-Bedroom Villa at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

The moment I opened the door, my immediate reaction was, “Wow!”

It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and so cozy. From the warm wood tones to the thoughtful details throughout the villa, everything felt cohesive and perfectly connected to the woodsy atmosphere of Wilderness Lodge.

Almost immediately, my travel-advisor brain took over…

I started picturing a family walking through that same door. I imagined grandparents joining a multigenerational vacation, two families traveling together or a group of friends gathering for a Disney girls’ trip.

My own family of six came to mind and how quickly we can take over a standard hotel room with luggage, shoes, park bags and all the things that come with traveling together.

A room can be absolutely beautiful, but does it actually work when everyone moves in?

This one did.

After sharing the space with eight adults, my Copper Creek 2-Bedroom Villa review is simple: this villa does more than sleep a large group. It gives everyone room to enjoy the vacation in their own way.

Eight Women Really Did Fit Comfortably

Our villa had a king bedroom, a second bedroom with two queen beds and a queen-size pull-down bed in the living room.

Two of our ladies arrived later that evening and slept on the pull-down bed. One of them was a sweet mama-to-be, so if anyone was going to notice an uncomfortable bed, I feel like she would have and both ladies said they slept well! (This is not a flimsy fold-out sofa mattress, it’s a regular size queen murphy bed!)

Even with every sleeping space in use, the villa never felt as though eight of us were crammed into one room. The bedrooms offered privacy, the living and dining areas gave us places to gather and there was an incredible amount of storage!

Suitcases fit under the beds, closets held our hanging clothes, and the large walk-in closet gave us a place to keep luggage and other travel gear out of the way.

That may not sound like the most exciting feature of a Disney villa, but when a family can unpack without living around a pile of suitcases all week, it can completely change how the room feels…If you know, you know!

The Little Details Made a Big Difference

The divided bathroom spaces and multiple sinks made getting ready with eight women much easier than I expected.

The full kitchen gave us a place for coffee, tea and breakfast, while the dining table became part breakfast spot, part workspace and part gathering place.

The villa also included a washer and dryer. We didn’t need to use them during our one-night stay, but I immediately thought about how helpful they would be for a longer vacation. Families could pack lighter, wash park clothes or swimsuits during a slower afternoon or head home without an entire suitcase full of dirty laundry.

Then, there was the balcony: It stretched across the full length of our villa, with access from both bedrooms and the living area. Our view was peaceful and woodsy, and even had a view of the pool.

I could totally picture someone sneaking outside with coffee before the rest of the family wakes up or parents enjoying a quiet moment after the children settle in for the night.

Those little pauses may not appear on a Disney itinerary, but they often become some of my favorite vacation memories.

We Could Be Together Without Doing Everything Together

One of my favorite things about this stay was seeing how well the villa worked for a group with different plans and personalities.

Some of our ladies enjoyed a slower morning with coffee. Some opened their laptops and got a little work done. Others were up, ready and heading straight to Magic Kingdom.

We were together, but we didn’t all have to wake up at the same time or follow the same schedule.

That’s something I think about when planning vacations for larger and multigenerational groups. Togetherness matters, but so does having enough space for everyone to move through the vacation in his or her own way, too.

I also had time to stroll around Wilderness Lodge, browse Wilderness Lodge Mercantile and grab a quick-service meal from Roaring Fork. I used both bus and boat transportation between the resort and Magic Kingdom, and the boat ride was one of my favorite parts of the stay! Skipping the LONG lines for the buses and monorail and heading to the boat was a welcome relief at the end of the evening. Returning after dark and seeing Wilderness Lodge glowing as we approached from the water felt peaceful and magical.

The Kind of Trip I Could Picture Here

Throughout our stay, I kept imagining the clients who could walk into this villa and experience that same “wow” moment.

I pictured grandparents having their own bedroom while still being part of the family’s morning coffee and evening conversations.

I pictured cousins piled into the living room, teenagers claiming the pull-down bed or two families enjoying the parks together and then returning to a space that felt more like home than a hotel room.

After experiencing it with eight friends, I can absolutely picture a girls’ trip here! We had room to sleep, get ready, work, drink coffee and spend time together without feeling as though we were constantly in one another’s way.

More Than Choosing a Room

When I help a client choose a Disney resort, I’m not simply looking at how many people a room can technically sleep.

I want to know who is traveling, who needs privacy, how your group spends its mornings and whether shared gathering space is part of the experience you want to create.

I consider the room layout, transportation, resort location, mobility needs, budget and the overall feeling you want your vacation to have.

A floor plan can show you where the beds are, but it can’t tell you what it feels like when some of your group is lingering over coffee, someone else is answering an email and another part of the group is already headed to Magic Kingdom.

My Copper Creek 2-Bedroom Villa Review: Would I Stay Here Again?

Absolutely!

The Copper Creek 2-Bedroom Villa was beautiful, but the way it felt is what stayed with me.

It gave us room to gather, room to breathe, and room to experience the morning differently while still feeling connected.

Now, I can’t wait to help the right family or group walk through that door and have their own “wow” moment!
