I'm Kelli and I help busy families plan amazing (and magical) vacations without the stress and overwhelm.
You know those dreamy vacation moments where someone hands you coffee before you even ask, snacks seem to appear exactly when your toddler gets cranky, and check-in feels like gliding into your own personal castle suite?
That’s kind of the vibe Club Level is going for.
But is it really worth the extra cost? Let’s walk through what Club Level at Walt Disney World offers, who I recommend it for, and how to know if it fits your family’s vacation style—or if that money could go further somewhere else.
Club Level is an upgraded room category offered at most Deluxe Resorts (and one Moderate: Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs). Along with staying in a beautifully appointed room—often with upgraded views—you’ll get access to a Club Level lounge and a concierge team.
Here’s what’s included:
Think of it like the VIP floor of the resort—with Disney’s signature magic woven in. Absolutely dreamy!
Food when you need it (and when you didn’t know you did)
Whether it’s a quick breakfast before a rope drop morning or wine and snacks while your kids unwind, the lounge is so convenient. It can honestly take the pressure off trying to plan every meal in advance—especially if you’re traveling with littles, picky eaters, or anyone who’s hangry-prone (hi, it’s me!).
A concierge team who gets it
Need to change a dining reservation? Wondering if you should switch park days because of rain? Club Level staff are next-level helpful. They can’t always perform miracles—but they give it all they’ve got and are often able to summon some of that Disney magic!
A calm place to land
After a day in the parks, having a quiet space to grab a drink, recharge, and breathe before dinner is… priceless. And if you’re doing a slower-paced trip with built-in downtime, Club Level elevates the resort part of your vacation in the best way.
Here’s my honest planner take:
Club Level can absolutely be worth it—for the right traveler.
If you’re the kind of family who:
…then yes, you’re likely to get real value from the perks Club Level provides!
But if you’re go-go-go in the parks from open to fireworks, and rarely return to your resort during the day, or only head to your room to shower and sleep? You might find you don’t use the lounge enough to make the upgrade worth it.
Club Level typically runs $150–$300 more per night than standard room categories—sometimes more, depending on the resort and season.
While that sounds like a big jump (and it is), keep in mind:
It’s not just about luxury—it’s about what matters most to you! For some families, that extra cost feels worth every penny. For others, the same budget might be better spent on special experiences or extra park days.
My husband and I splurged on a Club Level stay at the Contemporary Resort for our anniversary earlier this year and were absolutely blown away! We enjoyed the offerings from the Club Lounge throughout our stay and at different times of the day and we both agreed it would be worth the price for a future family trip with our 4 kids in tow.
If we did a Club Level stay, we’d definitely scale back on dining reservations in the parks and prioritize breakfast at the resort, an afternoon break for snacks/early dinner, and grabbing some sweets and drinks on our way back to the room at the end of the day. You’re spending money on food, snacks, and drinks during your stay anyway, so Club Level is like pre-paying and getting an elevated resort experience as well.
So what’s my take? If it fits your budget, your vacation goals, and your family and you’re going to try Club Level, lean in. Stay at a resort where the lounge is known for exceptional offerings (hello, Beach Club, Gran Destino Tower, and Polynesian Village Resort!).
And plan your days in a way that lets you actually enjoy the lounge:
– Start your morning there
– Pop in for snacks mid-day (take some with you!)
– Relax there at night while the kids rest (some have phenomenal fireworks views!)
Here’s the thing: No matter what you decide is best for you and your crew, Club Level isn’t necessary to have an amazing trip. However, for the right traveler, it can turn a great vacation into a truly magical one!
If you’re craving convenience, a little extra luxury, and fewer decisions to make during the day, it might be a splurge that’s worth it for your stay.
And if you’re still unsure? That’s exactly why I’m here. As your Disney Travel Planner, I’ll walk you through your goals, budget, and travel style—and help you decide what adds real magic (and what doesn’t).
