I'm Kelli and I help busy families plan amazing (and magical) vacations without the stress and overwhelm.
Let’s be honest. There’s a reason Disney planning has its own corner of the internet—it’s a lot. Between park reservations, Lightning Lane passes, dining windows, transportation, and trying to do it all while keeping your family happy and your budget intact? Whew!
As a Disney Vacation Planner, a lifelong Disney guest, and a mom of four, I’ve helped busy families just like yours turn what felt like a second full-time job into a totally doable, joy-filled experience. I want that for you, too—so let’s talk about a few common mistakes I see (and exactly what you can do instead).
This one happens a lot—and I get it. Life is busy, and it’s hard to know when to commit. But when it comes to Walt Disney World, early planning really does make a difference.
Why it matters:
Popular resorts and room types (especially for larger families or travel groups) fill up fast, and so do the best dining reservations and extras. Booking early gives you the most options and more time to space out payments if needed.
What to do instead:
Start planning 6–12 months before your travel dates. As your planner, I help you figure out the best time to go based on crowd calendars, seasonal events, and your family’s availability—and from there, we build a plan that fits your timeline and budget.
Look, I love a good plan (clearly), but there’s a difference between being prepared… and scheduling the life right out of your trip.
Why it matters:
Disney is full of magical unscripted moments. And if your itinerary is jam-packed with back-to-back reservations and no wiggle room, you’ll miss them—and likely end up with tired feet and cranky kiddos.
What to do instead:
Plan for structure, not rigidity. I help families build smart, flexible park days with space to slow down, enjoy an unexpected parade, or grab a Mickey bar without stress. Some of your best memories will come from the in-between moments.
First-timers (and even repeat visitors!) are often surprised by just how massive Walt Disney World is—and how much time you can lose trying to do “just one more thing” across the park.
Why it matters:
Long walks, crowded buses, and navigating four theme parks can wear out even the most magical mood—especially for little legs.
What to do instead:
I build your park days around smart flow—not just where the rides are, but what makes the most sense for your crew. You’ll avoid crisscrossing the park, know where to take breaks, and move through the day feeling confident instead of overwhelmed.
Listen, you can absolutely plan a Disney trip on your own… but it’s a lot of time, research, and second-guessing. (I know because I used to be the one staying up late googling “which ride to rope drop first.”)
Why it matters:
You’re busy and your time is valuable. You don’t need another project—you need a partner who knows what to book, when to book it, and how to help you make the most of your trip!
What to do instead:
When you book through me, you get concierge-level planning for free. I’ll handle your resort and ticket package, dining reservations, ride & park day strategy, transportation options, and the tiny tips that make a big difference. You don’t have to go it alone!
It’s easy to get swept up in Pinterest-perfect itineraries or TikToks of someone else’s vacation—but this trip should be about your family and what makes them smile.
Why it matters:
Not every family needs rope drop. Not every toddler wants to hug Mickey. And not every day needs to end with fireworks if your kids are exhausted by 4pm.
What to do instead:
We’ll plan a trip that reflects your people—whether that means park-hopping with teens or mid-day pool (or nap!) breaks with littles. I’ll ask the right questions, learn what matters most to you, and make sure your plan is built around connection—not comparison.
Planning Disney doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or all-consuming. With a little strategy and a lot of heart (plus a travel planner who’s been there), you can create a trip that’s not just magical—it’s manageable. And most importantly, full of memories that will last a lifetime!
