I'm Kelli and I help busy families plan amazing (and magical) vacations without the stress and overwhelm.
Let’s talk about the question I get all the time as a Disney Vacation Planner:
“When should we really start planning?”
The short answer? Probably sooner than you think.
The longer answer? Let’s walk through it together.
If you’re even thinking about a trip to Walt Disney World, this is actually the perfect time to start dreaming out loud. Whether you’re imagining twinkly castle lights at Christmas, spring break sunshine, or a first trip with toddlers in tow, getting your dates and party size in mind early gives you more options— things like better resort availability and the chance to take advantage of promos.
This is also when you want to reach out to a planner (hi, friend!) to talk through what you’re hoping for. I can help you look at crowd levels, event calendars and special events, and even seasonal tips so your dream starts off on the right foot!
Once you’ve got travel dates in mind, it’s time to make it official! Booking your resort and ticket package early is the best way to get exactly what you want—especially if you’re eyeing a popular resort, a suite, or rooms that accommodate larger families.
This is also when the fun starts. You’re booked. You’re counting down. And we get to start mapping out what this trip is going to feel like. The fun is just beginning!
Dining might not open for a couple more months, but this is when we lay the groundwork. We’ll talk about what kinds of meals your family would love—character breakfasts, date-night dinners, or just quick bites with churros in hand—and start building a park day outline that feels fun, not frantic.
I’ll also help you start thinking through extras like Memory Maker, stroller rentals, or sweet surprises like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Fireworks Dessert Parties!
This is when dining reservations open—and don’t worry, I’ve got it covered! I’ll be up early booking your wish list so you don’t have to lift a finger or worry about sleeping through that wake up call.
Depending on your ticket type, we might also need to book park reservations too, and we’ll finalize any last travel details like transportation, MagicBands, or protection plans.
It’s getting close! Around this time, I’ll send over packing suggestions, park bag tips, and start working on a customized itinerary so you know exactly what to expect. I’ll make sure your My Disney Experience app is ready, your plans are organized, and you feel excited, not overwhelmed.
The day is here and you’re ready to go! I’ll send a final check-in and your custom itinerary, review your plan with you, and make sure you’re set for your adventure. All that’s left? Make magical memories, soak it all in, and maybe text me a castle pic from Main Street or your favorite Photo Pass images – because I know you’re having a blast!
